Why Does It Happen?
The most common cause is a communication protocol mismatch. Before charging begins, the EV and charging station must exchange data regarding voltage, current, and safety requirements. If either side is running incompatible software versions, they may fail to understand each other, and the charging process will automatically stop for safety reasons.
- Turn off and lock the vehicle for 1–2 minutes to allow the system to reset.
- Restart or reset the charging station if possible.
- Try a different charger and begin the charging process again.
